There is nothing that compares to international travel to change my perspective, begin anew and recharge the battery (ie, adrenals).  I was very happy to be chosen as one of the assistant teachers for a Professional Care Training class held in San Ignacio, Belize.  Assistant teaching with wise and funny Jen O’Hagan in Belize was a perfect recharge for me.  The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy (ATMAT) can have a profound impact on one’s physical health, emotional well-being and spiritual connection.  What I had hoped to gain from this experience was a renewed interest in applying these techniques clinically and a return to the most basic health practices that can be life-changing.  It’s easy to get caught up in fads, trends, pricey supplements and sometimes, they help. However, returning to timeless practices and working with plants themselves is certainly ideal.

I was reintroduced to the historical connection between Chinese and Maya medicine. Stay tuned for more information on that. I will be doing a series of talks at CNY Fertility about the Self-Care Techniques of ATMAT and how this will benefit your abdominal, reproductive and overall health. Stay tuned for dates and a 2 day weekend retreat with the lovely Jen O’Hagan herself.  I am now offering the RainForest Remedies in the clinic.
