Digestion To Conception
Digestion To Conception
If you improve your digestion, you will improve your fertility outcomes. Whether you are planning to do an egg retrieval, a frozen embryo transfer (FET), an IUI, or the “old-fashioned way”, healing your gut is essential for you and your baby.
So many people have been diagnosed with a gut dis-ease- last I checked it was 2 out of 3 people, or somewhere between 60-70 million people have been diagnosed with IBS, Ulcerative Colitis, suffer from chronic constipation, gall stones, etc. This is certainly an epidemic and honestly, a pandemic. The entire globe is affected by digestive disorders. Most people end up taking prescription drugs, such as PPIs, which have detrimental effects over the long term.
The good news is that there are very simple things that you can do to begin healing your gut and improve your digestion, nutrient absorption, and elimination.
Digestion Begins In The Brain.
You know how when you look at something delicious, you begin to salivate? That’s how easily influenced we are! So you want to get your mind on board before you eat a meal.
We focus so much on what to eat but not enough on when and how often. I am going to assume that most of you already know to stop eating poison. I call processed food poison because plain and simple, that’s what it is. The bad fats can clog up your liver and gall bladder, wreak havoc on your ability to digest the good fat, and remain as a toxic layer in your colon for years. Yes, years. Processed food, as well as some whole foods, are
often laden with glyphosate- a highly toxic insecticide that kills off beneficial bacteria in your gut.
So many of you are taking high-quality probiotics, prebiotics or synbiotics but then eating foods high in glyphosate which kills them off! So be aware of that. So what can you do?
Lifestyle Changes.
Sit down while you are eating. Now, sometimes that means you are eating in the car like me, which is just part of the busy lifestyle sometimes. So, just be calm. Calmly eat, as long as you are sitting down.
Take 3 deep breaths before your first bite. You can focus on using your breath to relax your stomach, throat, and esophagus.
Receive & rejoice. If you’re like me, eating is honestly the highlight of the day! Be grateful. Say thank you to all that made it possible for this meal of nutrition to make it to you. When you stop and think about it, the soil, the seeds, the farmers, the weather, the animals, and the vegetables that offered their lives for it to be possible for this meal for you. It is very humbling and quite amazing when you think about it. Do not take this for granted.
Chew your food! Pay attention while you are eating, taste your food, and chew, chew, chew! The enzymes that you need to break down your food begin in your mouth by mixing your food with saliva.
Stress-free eating. Try to eat when you are not stressed or in the middle of an argument with your spouse or roommate. This will absolutely disrupt your digestive process! Wait until you feel calm.
Try to not stuff yourself full. Make a fist. your stomach is approximately the size of your fist. Yes, your fist. Try to eat until you are 80% full. This will allow your stomach a little room to do the deed of digesting your food.
Make it easy on your organs! The more you chew, the easier the stomach’s job which then gives your small intestine more support to do its difficult job!
Connect with your organs of digestion. Put your hand over your stomach, then your small intestine. Feel the difference. Be aware of the direction of your large intestine/colon. Up the right, over, and down the left.
Breath correctly! Inhale and expand, exhale and drop down.
Good digestion is the foundation of every aspect of your health, especially fertile health. If you are eating the highest quality food available but not actually absorbing the nutrients, you are missing a critical component of your health.
Okay, so what if you are already doing the above, lifestyle adjustments, and still having bloating, gas, indigestion, GERD/Acid Reflux, etc.? Here are some simple tips to begin healing your gut.
Steps To Repair the GUT
- Do the Microbiome Gut Test to find out
exactly what’s going on in your gut.
- Digestive Bitters before eating.
- Gall bladder support with Betafood.
- Zypan with meat and you are over the age of 34.
- Enzycore has Glutamine. Take with non-meat meals.
6. SP 6 patch to help balance blood sugar- you want
to stabilize your blood sugar. You can also take a
tablespoon of blackstrap molasses at the end of your
meal to help with that.
- Make sure you are pooping daily! More fiber or
Poopdoc to open the pathways of elimination.
More steps:
Take digestive support such as Bitters and Betafood as mentioned above to help you digest FAT. Many of my readers and patients are doing Kiltz’s keto and are eating a high-fat diet. You must, must improve the quantity and quality of bile your GB and liver are secreting. I can attest to the fact that if you don’t you may end up regretting it later. Please try to keep your organs healthy, especially the ones involved with digestion such as your
gall bladder. In 2018, it was reported that 700,000 gallbladders are removed each year in the USA alone. Why? Because it’s not getting enough support and is burdened by bad fats and other toxins.
Eat smaller servings at meals and do intermittent fasting.
Have a good day, enjoy your food, appreciate each meal and chew, chew, chew!! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Be sure to sign up for my free detox strategy guide!
